Dinara (5 year-old) and her students

Dinara

Liburan awal April, Dinara kedapatan memotong-motong kertas panjang-panjang dan menulisinya. Setelah dilihat, tulisannya mirip sandi rumput.

Bunda nanya, “Ini apa, Mbak?”
“I’m Doctor Dinara. This is my prescribtion.”
“Oh gitu? Tulisannya apa?”
Dokternya membaca sandi rumput di potongan-potongan kertas tersebut, “It is said, ‘Dara, you need medicine to make you healthy.'”

Pas Mahdi dibawa ke puskesmas (surgery) karena sesak, DInara ikut serta.
“What is she doing?” tanyanya ketika dokter Grimm memasang stetoskop di dada Mahdi.
“Dadanya Mahdi diperiksa.”
“What is she doing?” tanyanya lagi ketika dokter memasang oksimeter di ujung jari tangan Mahdi.
“Jumlah oksigen Mahdi diperiksa.”

Pokoknya nanyaaa melulu.

“Lain kali, Bu,” kata ayahnya, “Suruh dia nanya sendiri angsung ke dokternya. Anak di sini gitu. Diajari nanya langsung ke sumbernya.”
“Takut ngganggu dokternya Yah,” kata saya.

Dan sore kemarin dia sibuk menjajar boneka-bonekanya lantas membacakan buku untuk mereka.

“What are you doing, Mbak?” tanya saya iseng. Oh, mungkin dia storyteling, pikir saya.
“I’m teaching my students,” jawabnya mantap.
“What are you teaching them, then?” saya menahan senyum, sambi menggendong Mahdi.
“I’m teaching my students how to make potion…”
“Oke, we are listening… Go on…”
“Once upon a time, there were dinosaurs wanted to make potion. They bla bla bla….”

Sementara Dinara mengajar, Saya menggendong Mahdi, berusaha merekam. Sayangnya suara Dinara kalah dengan suaranya Dara yang ribut di belakang, “MY TURN! MY TURN! MY TURN!”

“And all the dinosaurs, poured the potion to the volcano… The end.”
